I've got a Peavey Grind with DR Marcus Miller fat strings on it. I've brought this bass to a few different folks, and no one can get the B string intonation right. Also, I can't get it to *not* sound like Steve Harris on the first few frets of the E and B strings... just clangs away. I otherwise like the bass, but I'm currently using a cheap Music Man copy which doesn't have these problems. I know there are earlier threads about intonation on this bass, but I wanted to see if anyone's had better luck since then.

    Thanks for any advice!

Take it back to the folks who did the set-up and tell them it's not right. In the meantime, what 's the relief and string height(s)?
