Peavey GV coming

Discussion in 'Basses [BG]' started by Jsonnenblick, Oct 4, 2002.

  1. I have a Peavey GV 5-string graphite necked bass coming in trade this week.

For those "finish snobs" out there, it ain't one of those horrible sparkly Peavey G finishes; it's the plain charcoal. . .

Anyway, there haven't been many threads about these.

    Any insights?

I'll post a review when I get the bass.

I have the four string in the same finish. The neck is superb. PUNCHY tone. The neck is awesome. Rock On!

There was one of those at my local music store in the sparkly grey.I would play it every time I went into the store,I really liked the neck and the sound amplified.
After I sold another bass and had enough cash from working overtime I went back to the store they still had the G-5 but they also had a Millenium 5 plus with a wine colored flamed top for $200 more.I ended up getting the Millenium but if the G-5 would have had the finish yours has or a sunburst I would have picked it.I really like the graphite necks.Peavey high end basses are really nice these days.I think you'll like it.
