I am selling my Peavey Millenium AC BXP 5 string bass guitar. It looks practically brand new and with the exception of a couple wood depressions and light surface pick marks, it is perfect. No chips, marks or scratches that can take away from the beautiful top with a see thru red finish. Even the back shows a nice wood grain.

All of my music gigs have gone away due to Covid 19 and I must sell my "non-essential" bass guitars. This is a great player. Just had new Dunlop SS strings, new batteries and a full set-up done by one of the top guitar techs in the Phoenix area. Super low action with NO fret rattles or any other issues. Not certain to the age of the bass since the Peavey website does not help with serial number dating. I believe that it is around 5 years old. It comes with a Road Runner hard case.
5 string bass with 3 band eq and sweep control between the neck and bridge pickup. Light weight, too! It weighs 8 pounds and for a 5 string bass that is SUPER light weight. Balances perfectly with no neck dive.
Probably the best 5 string bass you are going to find under $300. Will split the actual shipping costs.

Absolutely fantastic basses at any price. I was blown away by mine and I don’t even have the fancy model.

It definitely plays and sounds far above its price range... it's a true bargain. I would keep it if I were playing it more and had music gigs right now.

  4. What does it sound similar to? It’s been 30 yrs since I picked one up. Is it modern sounding or more old school. How are the stock pickups?

It is a modern sound. In my opinion, the opposite of a scooped jazz bass sound. More aggressive with mid-range authority. Of course, with the 3-band EQ you can alter the sound significantly.
