Just got a Millennium plus with flame red front and birdseye neck and fingerboard that is almost new. VERY nice looking. Open the pictures up for a little better look...
Headstock pics I want to say it is a nice change in sound from the Millenium Standard J/J I have and the Millennium P/J standard. All are definitely different sounding. The MM bridge adds some growl which I like a lot. This thing is virtually brand new with the case and original strings. I wonder if these old strings should be changed? No rust or anything, so probably not.
That thing looks great.I like the matching color headstock and that birdseye is amazing.Peavey outdid themselves with that one,Congrats.Millenniums are my favorite basses. My local music store here has a red sparkle finish standard JJ Millennium with rosewood board for $299.They've had it for a few years,no one ever bought it.I don't know if it has a case but it's still a steal at $299.If anyone is interested send me a PM and I'll let you know the name and number of the store.I played it last weekend and it's in good shape.
I actually have a sparkle red J/J Millennium (1st bass I bought along with the P/J Millennium). They are great basses...someone will get a great buy on that one for $299. Here is another pic of the neck
I have been super busy with work, but I have had time to play this bass some more. I am absolutely astounded at how much bass you can get with one of these at the deflated prices they go for. There can't possibly be anything else on the market I've seen SO underpriced. The quality of build is exceptional, the sound is great, and they are very versatile in types of sounds you can get. If you have a chance to play one -- try it. If you'll like Jazz necks, you'll end up owning one...at a very cheap price.
Sweet bass! I love that birdseye on the neck and fretboard. The red over flamed maple is nice too! You betcha! These were made for a couple of years around the turn of the millennium. Thus the name. Sweet! I might have to look into these. I'm a 4-banger dude but lately I've started to really want a 5er. I don't wanna dump loads of cash into an expensive 5er only to find out it's not my thing though. By the sounds of things these might be a good step up bass. And they are H/S! my favourite!
Sweeet bass, nice score! Yes, the used prices on these fine instruments are stupid low. Here is my USA candy apple red, birdseye neck fiver:
Thanks! I ordered this brand new in 2000. It is a Millennium standard with the birdseye neck/matching headstock option.
