On the verge of buying a beast of a bass, a T-40. Couple of questions.

It's missing a few little itty bitty pieces, (one knob), all esthetic stuff.

Are official parts easy to find? I've looked on eBay but none are up right now.

The other thing, is how do i date the thing. I've got the serial number it's
00345440, i just can't find any place online to date it for me.

I assume it's 80 something but can anybody help me narrow it down.

If you post the serial number on the Peavey Forums AJ will be able to provide you a date of manufacture. They can probably tell you where to get parts as well. Peavey is quite helpful when it comes to the gear they sell.
