    I haven't ever actually played a T-40. Just wondering, do these play/sound pretty much like a P-bass?

My cousin has one that i've messed around with. It plays and sounds pretty damn good you can get a P-bass sound out of it as well as some decent growl.

I owned one of these about 20 years ago.

Hire a chiropractor. It's HEAVY!!!!!! It was agony after an hour or two.

The neck was pretty chunky as I recall, but I was a beginner and probably hadn't yet learned how to use my hand muscles correctly yet...I used to get cramps like crazy. It was definitely beefier than I prefer (I now play Carvin 5 strings, if that gives you any reference).
