I really want to get a T-45, but just can't seem to find one...for those who have one, what type of tunes do you pick on her? Thanks, dy.
My first bass was a T-45. It was ok for basic classic rock (60's and 70's stuff), but I found the overall sound it produced to be somewhat dead and dull. Trying to slap on that bass was an exercise in futility. To this day (17 years later), I still prefer active, modern sounding basses. If you stick to straight rock or country, though, I think the T-45 will get the job done. It definitely can't do the modern, active thing.
The Lakeland FL Guitar Center has a worn but decent one for sale. I've played it, the action is set rather high but I'm sure it could be dialed in. I considered buying it but I have two T-40s and really can't justify having a T-45 as well.
Knifemaker...thanks, I'll email them and see what the deal is on her. As for tunes, I'm a classic rock, bluegrass deal, so I think she'll be great...thanks for your'all's help, dy.
