Peavey T-Max and Pre-amp??

Discussion in 'Amps and Cabs [BG]' started by deepbluesuk, Aug 22, 2007.

  1. Im about to get a SWR Grand Prix rack mount pre-amp and want to know if/how i can use it with the power amp section of my Peavey T-Max head? I love the tube half of the t-max but wish the clean were cleaner and tighter - hence the SWR.

Also, how would i hook up a power amp to the t-max? is this bi-amping?!?!? Educate me!!!
  2. If there is a "power in", that is ehat you plug the preamp into. There should be a power in and a preamp out. ( at least there is on my Peavey, it's located right on the front of the amp face.)
  3. So this would bypass the t-max pre-amp and just use its power amp???
  4. ....any takers???

Yes, using the power amp in bypasses the T-max preamp.
  6. Thanks KPJ
