    Price:
    $850
    Strings:
    4
    Location:

Purchased this November from the original owner, who bought it new in 1982 intending to learn to play. He never got around to it, though, and it sat in its case for 36 years. The original strings were still on it, and the plastic overlay with labels for the pots and switches has still not been removed.

There are no scratches or dings anywhere that I can find. All pots are buttery smooth and dead silent. The frets are unworn, and the truss rod adjusts smoothly. The tuners are ridiculously silky.

I removed the old strings, which had only the faintest of fret tracks in a few spots but were severely oxidized. I gave the frets a quick polish, and put on a new set of EB Slinky rounds (50-105). The original strings will be included for your inspection and/or scrapbook:)

There are some pinpricks/bubbles of corrosion in the chrome of the bridge and neck plate, which you can see in the pictures.

The wide range of classic tones these will produce (Rick, Alembic, P, Jazz, MM, and many more) is well documented, as is the build quality (and, alas, the weight).

This one weighs in at 11 lbs 9 7/8 oz. by digital kitchen scale, so not the lightest, but not the heaviest either.

Will ship in its pristine original locking Peavey hardshell case, along with original key, manual and Allen wrenches, and the (unread) copy of Mel Bay Electric Bass Vol. 1 that the original owner bought along with it:)

Price includes shipping CONUS. Not really interested in trades, but I guess it doesn't hurt to ask (via PM)

Please PM/start a conversation with questions, offers, random curses, inquiries, etc.
