Peavey TKO 65---possible blown speaker?

Discussion in 'Amps and Cabs [BG]' started by scorpionldr, Jul 23, 2005.

  1. i was playing wit my band, and my buddy (who also plays bass) was using my amp, and it was holding up really well, but after a bit, the speaker started making farting noises from having the E string plucked (was tuned to D tho). i NEVER had problems with this combo in my 3 years of playing through it and it's been really good to me. lately i'm running the pre at 5-7, the post cranked (or near), the bass at 5, shift completly open, mids cranked, treble cranked, presence cranked. i was trying to get some more power so i cranked the mids and the shift, but usually i run the mids in the middle and the shift at like 3/4. nothing is really different.
