I had a slight mishap with my Peavey TKO 115BW - I broke the 80HZ EQ slide pot. I have spent HOURS online looking for a replacement, and I cannot find anything to match it. It is a 50K pot, with 30mm travel and a center detent. I hate to lose this amp because of such a small part; it has served me well for small gigs and rehearsals. I am wondering if I could either wire it to be "full-on" all of the time, or if I could modify it and install a small rotary pot of the same value. I am also wondering if I could wire in a different size pot (physically), adjust it to a sweet spot, then insulate it and mount it permanently inside the chassis. Ideas and insights will be appreciated !!
From what I have gathered from another forum - the parts and service dept. at Peavey has been closed for a while, but is supposed to reopen. I am going to try calling on Monday !
Calling always worked best for me, so good idea. They have historically used a lot of OEM spec parts that you won't be able to find anywhere but through them or an authorized parts jobber. Best of luck!
