Played a Peavey Cirrus and a De Armond Pilot Deluxe today. Both were 4 string, new, and very cool. De Armond rings in nicely at $599.99 and the Peavey comes in at a rough $1099.99

Is it worth the extra $500 for the Peavey ? I really liked both but I think that the De Armond played really well for the price and stood its ground (I liked it better than some of the Warwicks I played at GC yesterday).

What are your experiences with these basses ? Which one is the way to go ? I am going to buy one of them so any advice would be very much appreciated.

Getting that much closer to a new groove machine......

    THANKS !!!

If you can afford the extra dough, get the Cirrus.

Those DeArmond Pilot Deluxes are nice for the price, but not in the same class.

    IMHO. :)
