  1. Figures, the night after I order a RM-1N, one pops up on ILF for an incredible price.

    Hello again, breeders.

I am trying to decide on a new fuzz pedal to purchase when I get home on Monday because I am having major fuzz pedal GAS. I'm trying to decide between a TAFM and a B:assmaster. Which one should I get?

B:mass my vote. The TAFM is pretty awesome. But the b:ass is so much more unique IMO. And meaner. It's more one sided than the TAFM, but I like it more.

Sorry buddy. You could just get both if you can afford it. Flip the one that loses. Or keep both ;)

I think I'm leaning a bit more towards the B:assmaster because I already have an insane "wall o' fuzz" covered by my DBA Fuzz War (highly underrated pedal), and I feel like the TAFM is a bit more on the crazy, unpredictable side (like the Fuzz War), whereas the B:assmaster is a much more controlled, gated fuzz.

Get both, get both! And add a COG Grand Tarkin to the mix while you are at it!

  12. Yes. :)

What's that, forced choice you say? Well then, I say TAFM. One of my favourite all time fuzzes. The TAFM can be as smooth or as crazy as you want it, and it does have the gate switch too. Super flexible. But it always depends upon the flavour you are looking for. I still don't think anyone will ever go wrong with a TAFM though.

So on the positive side: I emailed Josh Broughton @Azure Skies re the P15 preamp I purchased and just received. He can mod it to be useable with 220v and he is going to add a 1/4" out for the effected signal so one can use it both as a DI and a preamp at the same time. So that's great news. Going to add a pedal to the order to make it a little better for him - thinking about the socketed Blueberry he makes with both the BJFE and Bearfoot chips in there.

On the negative side: it looks like the US Govt has misplaced my Transboost and Rails pedals. They made it to the sorting facility in Chicago almost a month ago. And so far.....nada :(

Interesting, I like the sounds and varied sections of the song ... but ... I'm not quite comfortable with some of the slowing down parts and tempo changes. That's just me though.
