Hows it going guys. My question is weather my pedal chain order is it ok.I just bought the oc 3 and the micro synth about a week or two ago.I just started getting back into the pedals because of the new band and was just a bit unsure of where to place them. boss TU-2 tuner boss OC-3 super octave boss BF-3 flanger electro harmonics-Micro synth EBS-bassIQ envelope filter EBS-WahOne-Wah/Volume Pedal Also should i get some type of noise suppressor for the filters and synth,or is this not needed. Im use to the gt6 and just tweek what im looking for.Im gaining a lot more pedal understanding since owning single pedals. Thanks a lot for any info guys.
It sounds good. Im able to get a lot of cool sounds with the oc-3,bf-3,and bass IQ. the synth dont work that well with the others I might just need to dig into the setting more. As for the noise I might have a bunk 1 spot. Waiting a week or two to pickup a voodoo lab plus. Its a small humm i hear when all pedals in bypass. My keyboardist uses the 1 spot and likes it but i heard other things about it. Is this what a surppressors used for to eliminate pedal connection buzz. Never used one.Thats another reason I thought the chain was wrong.I might just try all the pedals with batteries that will tell me if its the 1 spot right?
Here's a cheaper method: pull out one pedal at a time from the chain, see if it goes away as you remove pedals--you might find you just have a certain pedal that is the culprit.
Try this: boss TU-2 tuner boss OC-3 super octave EBS-bassIQ envelope filter electro harmonics-Micro synth EBS-WahOne-Wah/Volume Pedal boss BF-3 flanger
envelope tracks better at the beginning of a chain. synth will dirty your flanger tone...flanged/modded synth sounds way bigger You'll probably also want to use your wah like an EQ at times going into your flanger. this way you'll get the most control over your effects and have the most expansive tone. have fun!
