Truly this is a non-issue but has been turning over in my head for a few hours now. Blackjack pedal tuner and Little Mark III amp. I can plug the tuner into the "tuner out" port on the amp. Or I can put the tuner inline between the bass and the amp. The other pedal (chorus) is in the effects loop so is not a consideration. So, is there any advantage to one tuner location versus the other? Thanks.
I use my tuner as a mute, so it's inline with my bass. The advantage to tuner out port is you can see if your in tune on the fly.
I would personally use both pedals in line with the bass. Effects loop is really intended for rack mount effects, and having the tuner in line allows for it to be used as a mute, which is in many ways a more important feature of my tuner pedal for me than the fact it tunes! To each their own though, you do whatever works for you. Like you said, really a non issue, unless something is giving you problems.
I find that my rackmount tuner picks up the low B better using the tuner out, rather than directly plugging in.
Well, much changing about before settling down ... chorus pedal works better it seems in the effects loop ... less hiss. I can turn up the gain more and keep the hissing minimized. And it turns our I like hearing the strings ring out when I'm tuning ... Thanks everyone for the input ... always helps to get ideas on setups. Cheers!
