I've tried searching for it, but searching "pedalboard" in this forum is like punching yourself in the face. I remember seeing it before, but I don't remember where and I don't remember who said it.

What programs can you use to figure the layout of your pedalboard? I know that you enter dimensions for the pedals and you can put pictures within the frames of the pedals to represent them. But that's all I got - any help is greatly appreciated!

I used ExpressSCH to draw rectangles in scale 1:2.... :rollno: Hey, at least it's freeware! :)

  12. I used Illustrator, but anything that you can draw rectangles using actual dimensions would do the same thing. Heck, even Word can do that!

Any drawing program, or program with drawing features, will do. The easiest way to go about it is find decent pedal photos and scale them down. Stuff like Visio, Illustrator, etc. just lets you get fancier.

Nowadays, the Effects forum is like daily deja-vu for me :meh:

flash wouldnt be so good.. it doesnt keep things to scale when drawing. its made to be able to expand width and height.. thats why you cant copy images from flash to photoshop and keep them the same size.

If you're talking serious pedalboard design maybe take a look at AutoCadLT? We use it at work to get exact dimensions for server/network racks. Much better than visio, kinda overkill for your intention but if you're looking for architectural grade stuff then Autocad's your program.

CAD is definitely overkill, but I appreciate the suggestion. Anything Adobe isn't really an option - the day I can run Photoshop on this laptop is the day that.... bongo hates compressors!

And I used to use MSPaint... I can't do anything with dimensions in it though (I'm going to check out the F1 on that and see if there's anything I can do). Sorry SEV.

I'm going to check out ExpressSCH - thanks man. Thanks to everyone who tried. :D (And I have an entire productivity suite that's freeware - openoffice ftw!)

SEV would now be FULLY PWNED, if the Spankiness's attempted PWNAGE counted for anything.
