Pedals Order in a chain Question

Discussion in 'Effects [BG]' started by Dr3thepooner, Aug 1, 2012.

  1. Hi All,

    - I had been using my 5 String GSR ibanez - into tuner - into VT Bass (awesome pedal) - into Delay - into - GK 115 MB combo for now.

    - Recently I happened to get my hands on to good old ODB3, at first didnt like it at all (a lot of bottom end.. little mids.. couldnt find my sound in the mind with a full band on), but feels like it has a potential when properly dialed

    - But i always ran it after the VT Bass, so : bass - > tuner -> vt bass - > ODB3 - > Combo input.

    I mainly use VT Bass to get extra warm, a tiny bit overdriven (when it just starts to bite) sound. Would it make much difference putting ODB 3 before the VT Bass, would it add more mids theoretically?

    What are your thoughts?

    I'd run the ODB before the VT as the VT is an amp emulator and should warm up the drive and respond like a tube amp with a boost in front of it.

  3. Sweet, will try when get home first thing :)

    Maybe it will be able to convey my signal better in the mix.
