Pedals that do an octave above? (or alternatives)

Discussion in 'Effects [BG]' started by Wolfman200, Jul 12, 2005.

  1. Hi everybody,
I'm looking for an effects pedal that will bring my bass out of the mix for solos. Are there pedals that do an octave up? I'm open to using other effects, but would prefer this because it wouldn't sound "akward" in some styles as other effects could. (i.e. overdrive in a funky type tune)

    A Whammy does.

I've asked this question a few times... just search it up!

An octaver is not the same as a synth. Some synths reproduce the tone an octave down, but the concept isn't the same.

The Whammy in a 1 octave down is exactly that, an octaver.

So are octavers, octaviders, and octave pedals all different? :help:

  7. I wouldn't mind having a Whammy, but I'm looking for a more cheapo way to do it if that's possible. Is it?
