What pedals do you people have that you can't live without?

I've only been playing bass for about 2 years, and I want to get some effects pedals (finally), so if anyone could recommend a pedal, or pedals that would be good to have, I would appreciate it. :)

I'm a rock fan, I also like funk, jazz....some hard core, but not too much.

    Thanks!

my boss tuner (the white pedal that powers other pedals) is my best friend right now.

  9. DOD EQ pedal.. not QUITE a necessity to me, but makes things a lot easier. other than that I have a Ibanez Phat Hed OD pedal that I dont use a lot

Trace Eliot SM7 eq. I use it for both preshape and clean boost, if I could bring no other pedals I'd be happy w/ just this.

  14. When I am down to 3 it is EHX BassBalls, Akai UniBass and Zoom 607 covers everything else nicely. I am also partial to my Ehx Dr Q, Akai Deep Impact, Danelectro Daddy O & Danelectro PsychoFlange.

ditto, for those really loud situations, this is key. SABDDI is also a must have, though when I have the whole rig I have an RBI in there. The true bypass pedal I got from Loooper makes all my other effects worth while.

pedals? I say: MXR distortion+ and my old Boss OC2.

(I also own the SABDDI but I still haven't found the right settings).

  20. If you are looking to get a first pedal, DO NOT BUT A ZOOM: mine has crapped out on me after 6 months. My guitarist had a similar problem with his. Only buy boss singles: more options, cheap, and very well made. I have a boss ODB-3 and it owns everything. I want a compressor like an EBS, Boss or the Tech21. Any ideas??
