Pelican case for Ampeg SVT II Pro?

A buddy of mine might be cutting me a killer deal on his Ampeg SVT II Pro. It is in excellent condition, and I would like to keep it that way. To that end, I have been thinking about how much a protective case would run and am pricing out some options. First thought was to go the rackmount route, but I want something that has shock protection while hauling it about. I know there are isolation/shock mounted rack cases out there, but have yet to see one with wheels. They run expensive too.

I have seen folks using Pelican cases for amp heads and it seems like it would be a great idea. You can customize the padding, they seem sturdy, tight and have wheels. Checks all my boxes!

I am wondering how many of you are using Pelican cases for your amp heads and what your experiences have been like?

Much thanks in advance!

When you say Pelican case, I envision something like this:

It wouldn't be my choice for a heavy rack-based amp. I think it will be a hassle to get the amp in and out.

You can have custom flight cases made.

I am sure some company would build a shock-mount case similar to this if you like. However, it won't be cheap.

Probably better to use an off-the-shelf shock mount case with separate dolly than having one custom built in.

This dolly is rated for 275lbs.

Larger wheels will roll better and reduce shock to the amp.

I have several Pelican cases. Many are used for mics. They are pretty expensive. Some military pelican cases can be found deep discounted at military surplus stores. The sell other good options as well. Worth chacking out.

ATA flight cases are HEAVY.

Some rack cases have vibration mounts. Again those ones are expensive. Some have front and back covers to keep the dust out.

A light case for transport protection can be good and inexpensive.
