I was really looking forward to this game when I watched the promo for it. My son got the creature builder software and I could tell they "cartooned" the creatures somewhat and it really disappointed me. :atoz:

I haven't got Spore, but I'm considering buying it. If I have any cash left over after buying Total War: Empire, I'll get Spore too. :)

Did you know you can get the first stage of Spore on the iPhone? It's the part where you float around underwater and eat microbes and what-not. Looks pretty cool, it would be fun to play on the bus or something to kill time.

so, is this game actually fun?

  9. If you like "sandbox" type games, like SimCity and SimAnt, or any of the Sim-games really, you will love this game. It's a Sandbox/Real-Time Strategy game, really. it has a point to it.

It's going to get more fun when the Galactic Adventures Expansion Pack comes out. The Space Stage is the most boring of the stages.

...in all likelihood have rootkits on their computers, installed by ea in a futile effort to stamp out piracy. sucks. i would have loved to try that game, but there's no way i'm going to let those nubs corrupt my registry, even though i have numerous rootkit removal programs at my disposal.

I liked the first 2 levels and then it just turned into a really bad RTS and I quit playing....I should have evolved an evil killing machine, it might have been more fun.

  12. They made a tool for removal of their authorization stuff. Just after people complained, too.
