Out of curiosity, has anyone bought the Squier Pete Wentz bass and done anything interesting (in terms of covering it) with the repulsive bat/heart thing that is right above the bridge?
Some people appear to like the design and adore Pete Wentz. If you're not in one of those camps, I don't see why you would consider it. Maybe I'm missing something.
My parents bought me this bass back in 09 as a bday present. Granted it was my 30th. haha But, it's an alright bass for the money. I know that design is awful. I am actually thinking about keeping the body and electronics. Those are actually good. The neck I absolutely hate. So, one of these days I'm gonna get a different neck for it. On a side note, I don't care what anybody thinks of Wentz. He is doing what all of us here love to do and gets paid really well.
Because the Wentz neck is really sweet. J-width, rolled figerboard edges. You don't find that on most cheaper Fender stuff.
Wasn't it also one of the few maple FBs available on Squier basses for a while until the VMs and CVs came out?
