I currently have a NV610 I bought off a TB member a few months ago, I love it to death. Compared to my previous SVT 810, I often find it hard to hear myself on stage (my previous project was loud). I'm guessing this has to with the lack of two speakers at ear level.

Since the 810 is out of the question (I know people say it isn't that difficult to scoot around, I found it to be) I was thinking about throwing my PF 210 on top of my berg. In my current rack, I have two 700rb's, so I can plug one into each cab.

Should I run into any issues attempting to do this? I know the cabs are VERY different, could it screw up my sound?

A couple of "issues", first is impedance. Afaik, the 700rb is limited to 4 ohms min, which your 610 surely is. Adding anything else drops you below, bad for amp. And 2nd, there's no way on Earth a little 210 will "keep up" with the 610, putting it at risk. Bad idea all around.

Ya, just tilt your cab back a little. I know it's a 610 but it shouldn't be that hard to tilt up an inch.

to the op: for clarity's sake, you want to run one 700rb into a 6x10 and one 700rb into a 2x10 simultaneously?

if that is indeed the case, as long as you have one separate amp for each separate cab, i can't think of any equipment issues you would face. however, i'd expect you to blow your 2x10 or one of your amps trying to get the 2x10 to keep up with the 6x10.

i think it would definitely change your sound; i would expect phasing issues, comb filtering issues and the like. 'screw up your sound...' depends on what you hear.

afterthought: why don't you use the 2x10/700rb as a floor monitor? put it in front of you and tilt it back a bit.

Put your 6x10 on a stand or even a couple of milk crates. That will lift the top drivers closer to your ears.

    MILK CRATES?!?! Slowly I turn...

Milk crates are the death of professionalism onstage. And cover it up with black cloth and it's the death of professionalism onstage covered in black cloth. The only things permissible are an amp stand, a wedge painted black, or the amp's own tilt-back system if it has one.

Shame on you, Paul...I thought you knew better ;)

There's also the decision between tolex or rhino coated milk crates. And by no means should rat fur covered milk crates ever be used ;)
