'phat' bass lines

  1. What are some songs that have phat bass lines??

    also what songs do you guys play to impress girls. or lads if you are a chick bass player.

    learn their favorite song, play it for them, then hand the bass to them and attempt to teach it to them. its a really good way to get close to them, and they seem to like it.

    Ah, the true reason for the existance of all music; to impress friends and score chicks.

    Anyway, the Violent Femmes "Blister in the Sun" is always a pleaser for me, and as far as a "phat" bassline, learn the one in "Rapper's Delight" by the Sugarhill Gang. The bassline in that song is actually in like two or three other seventies songs, "Good Times" being one of them.
