Phat Phuk B thud when engaging

Discussion in 'Effects [BG]' started by Anarchyok, Aug 14, 2012.

  1. Last night I noticed the Phat Phuk B I recently got from the classifieds here has been making a decent audio thud/click most of the time I'm engaging the pedal. Is this the dreaded true bypass pop, or is the Phat Phuk usually completely silent and my switch is on the way out? Thoughts?

    could be LED pop.

  3. I've never used a PPB, but LEDs on true bypass pedals tend to pop if you don't prevent it with a couple of components. I'd contact the builder and see if it's normal in their pedals.
Here's a nice little read if you have one or two minutes:

  4. Thanks - I've been in contact with Wren and Cuff and they have been most helpful! Looks like I'll send it over to them to take a look at it. Based on how helpful they've been via email, I'll be grabbing a Pickle Pie B as my new Fuzz!
