I did a quick search but wasn't able to turn up much.

Are the Phil Jones P-1's out in circulation yet? If so has anyone gotten any time on one? I'm REALLY curious about this preamp and want to feed my GAS monster a bit :p

Let me know... if you know... thanks!

Please keep TB posted. As I recall Smash was getting serial number 001 or something to that effect... Hopefully he'll see this and be able to chime in as well.

Yeah, he might have his already. Haven't checked with him though.

Since my curiosity about the PJB pre has been brewing for about a year now, I think it's time for a tag-along post!

I just took mine out of the box. Whoa, Mamma! This is an obviously well put-together preamp. Very professional look and feel. The knobs and faders all move with just the right amount of tactile feedback, and have a very solid feel. Two things which I had either failed to notice, or just didn't appreciate from the photos, are the "Vol. Pedal" output jack (nice!) and the fact that the crossover can be set as low as 50 Hz, meaning that you can use it as a variable high pass filter, and just use the "Hi-Out" send. Very nice!

But, it don't mean diddley if it doesn't deliver the goods, so I can't wait to try this baby out! :bassist:

I'm not going to read anyone's reviews until I've played through mine, so for the time being, I'm off this thread. :)

Well geez Tom, what are you waiting for? Give that puppy a spin in the studio, force your band to play a gig so you can try it out in a live setting and get back to us ASAP ;)

Well, okay, I'll just put those two trials next week on hold, bail on my estate planning seminar presentation, reschedule my son's birthday, and call off Kiwanis Peanut Days (yes, Peanut Days). :D
