photo flame top?

    photo flame is just what it sounds like, a picture, or transparency of a flame top put over the wood, then the laquor is applied. It may or may not be a maple top, youll have to ask. Fender did that for a while in the early 90's i believe.

    Photo flame is a different way of saying "fake." Sort of the guitar version of veneering 1/16" of cherry over pine or particle board furniture.

    It is comforting to read in the add that the bass is not made out of plywood!
