Good thread, I'm a photographer...but I don't have a scanner. but I've been meaning to get one, so this is just another reason to get one.

I'll post once I've scanned some pictures.

okay, I just talked to my brother, he has a scanner, I'll scan some shots ASAP.

although, I fear this thread might give me the bug again, and make me want to do photography, unfortunately, as I have just graduated HS, I no longer have free reign over a darkroom :(

Also, what are donkey's doing on the Basketball court  :D

Get on that, photography is cool beans! Hmmmm, you could have some place develop your photos and then scan them and photoshop them to make them look not like walmart developed them.

    Or go completely digital. :meh:

Well...for me photography has always been about the darkroom, I just loved all that stuff, little tricks and stuff to make the shots look extra cool. I once made a print look as though it was jumping off the page, literally. I tried to do the same thing again, but never succeeded. I wonder if I still have that print.

Thanks, Farley - I've got some good critter pics from summer trips to Colorado, but I've just got these few random images on my hard drive here at work. Set up a tripod next to a hummingbird feeder and got some decent "frozen" hummers. Those guys flap their wings so fast that you can use a "fast" shutter speed and still capture movement.

The Donkey picture is really very good - all joking aside.

The other one shows that you've got a good eye for shadow and contrast.

    Keep up the good work!

Hah, I actually dig your avatar a lot, just because of the thor reference :D

I dig your stuff donkeyman. You're really good at something I need to work on, creating really nice intersecting lines.

For reference to anyone who's curious, Donkey Basketball is a game for hicks with no lives, or people who think it's funny to watch a donkey take a dump on a high school gym floor. I on the other hand found it to be a fantastic oppertunity to get really weird action shots. I hate working with a wide open apature setting, and as with most gyms, flourecent lights everywhere. So it was a bit risky but allowed for a few good shots. That ones my fav, because it looks like a tool video... featuring donkeys. :meh:

So you photograph paintings, sculpture, et al? Awesome and probably very demanding work. Tell us more.

  19. Are non-photographic pics OK for this thread? I have some 3D stuff and some trippy art that's kinda cool. Will await group's OK to post.
