I just got off the phone with Warmoth, and am now the proud owner of this body:

I am seriously considering taking my Geddy Lee Jazz's neck:

and putting it on this body. But I am finding it hard to picture. Can anyone scale them and combine them together??

I dont own photoshop or anything remotely capable and probably couldn't perform the task if I did.

    Anyone?? :hyper:

  2. I can't believe I actually did this. I tried to match the width of the neck with the spot on the body, hopefully it's semi-accurate?

To be honest, it looks a little strange to me.

Beat me to it Nells... I woudl ahve gotten all picky about eh extraction though, haha.
I wouldn't do it if I were you jja- it really looks very awkward and imbalanced, adn teh style just doesn't flow. Take it from an artist ;) haha...

Very nice! I love a great transparent blue color, one of my favorites, and the body style is great. As far as the neck and fb go, too many choices there. I do love Bubinga but what kind of tone you looking to get out this beauty?

I'm going to install Jazz PU's (possibly Sadowsky humcancelling this time), and a Sadowsky VTC pre in it. I'm not sure if I want the bright attack of the Birdseye Board or the warmer pau ferro/rosewood sound. I'm leaning toward the maple though. I only have one of those left, and three with PF/RW.

I'll have to contact them on monday to see if they can hold the body for a SURE match on the headstack though...

I was looking at a similar wood and finish combination from Warmoth. DEFINATELY thought that b-eye maple/b-eye maple was the way to go. Especially with some MOP dot inlays. and the 2+2 headstock with a matching headstock is a nice touch as well.

that finish is just begging for a maple fretboard.
