People in the Detroit area probbaly know this place, it's a rather popular place to photograph. Packard used to manufacture luxury vehicles....and so forth. The place is pretty huge, probably one of the largest (if not THE largest) abandoned industrial complexes in the country or world. So it's kind of unique. Anyways enjoy, i'm not happy with a lot of the photographs seeing is I ran out of film before I finally got the balls to get up close and personal (and inside!). The neighborhood is pretty bad. One of the cat-walks. I like the missing "S". Back on the South half corner, you can get inside right around the corner. Back of..I think the north half. Cool picture but the negative or exposure wasn't quite right. Hey it happens. Same spot basically. Again Graveyard behind south end. part 2 part 3 Different lens Looks like the middle finger Underneith another catwalk Detroit Underground Only shot I got from inside Some randon picture from some other roll. Anyways thanks for looking. In a couple weeks me and a crew are going Urban Exploring inside, my one friend wants to shoot video for his portfoilio and i'm going to do the photography. Hopefully I come up with something more interesting.
I usually hate shooting when the sky is overcast but still really bright like that. You can't help but overexpose it, but I think that adds to the effect of this series. I love 'em!
Sweet. I wish we had places like that where I live. It would be cool to roam around and soak up the history. -Mike
Spooky ... did I see that in Robocop? Is this larger than Rouge River (a river that I understand runs thick with bodies)?
