My dad just got an email from a mate that had a few beautiful pictures in it: Some of those pics have been voted best picture of 2002. What are some of your favourite pictures that amaze you and make you go "whoa". Aww look at the cute little polar bears
Nice - the pic of Planet Earth 'at night' can be found here:- http://earthobservatory.nasa.gov/Newsroom/NewImages/Images/earth_lights_lrg.jpg
here is a picture of the first TRIDENT II D-5 missile launch from USS TENNESSEE SSBN 734-BLUE. this was back in '87...and it was my first submarine. bear in mind...this is no mere bottle rocket, but a 133,000 pound intercontinental ballistic missile designed to carry a nuclear payload over 4000 nautical miles away. that said, if you look really closely at where the weapon came out of the water and the exhaust trail as the weapon did it's first loop, you'll see a small mast poking out of the water. that was TENNESSEE's DASO mast which is attached to the ship's sail. that incident almost cost the lives of 250 sailors and a 2 billion dollar asset...as well as the credibility of the united states' deterrent force. the navy squeaked by with that one, but a MAJOR design flaw was found and corrected. TRIDENT's all have launch gas generator blast deflectors installed in the tubes now cool pic, though...
Not sure if this is fake or not... I didn't set it to display in the message body because, well, look at it and you'll see why.
hehe... Wait,Don't I recall you making your own rack? Kinda like frankenstein sike...how's that baby holdin' up? -Jon
Good memory, that was ages ago....... It's holding up brilliantly, though I have got the carpet comming away from one corner of the back lid. Nothing that can't be fixed and certainly acceptable given that I slide it in and out of the wagon as often as I do........
Yeah...I'll remember that, but not how to do Algebra, hehe Thats cool,I saw a pic of it...looked pretty damn solid if yuo ask me. you should make about 10...and sell 'em on TB Classified's -Jon
Nah, I'm on the other side of the world remember. Shipping would make em too expensive. I just built it for myself, because I need one and didn't like what was available......
