Photoshop Skillz are Illin'

    Hey, I want a new avatar, but I cannot make an image that meets the guidlines, what are some of the tricks to getting a pic 4000 bytes or under and make it still... an image?

    EDIT: oh, and dave, there's a nifty little trick I like to use in photoshop. After you use a filter or adjust the image you can go the Edit menu and then there should be a "fade" option for the filter you've just applied. It's really neat; you can adjust the blending option too, to get completely new filter and editing effects. I use it mainly with color adjustment to get the just right feel.

    I have a little program called irfanveiw, and it does heaps of stuff like that, its cool. :D
