1. Just got round to taking a decent gear photo - I got some sweet ones of both basses but I haven't had time to edit them - hope this will keep you GAS-ing...cheers.

I'm sorry, but when I see "Pic of my lovely 'twins'" I'm expecting some boobage.

Nice basses, though, especially that Toby Influenced 5er.

Hello! I'm not 100% sure but I'm pretty positive: I've been the player that shipped that bass in the USA. I'm in Europe and I've bought that bass here three years ago. I've sold it on eBay. I remember perfectly the "hole" near the pickups. Does it come with its original teardrop case with red interior?
About twins: just look at this!
In the pics: two "usual" early Thumbs with EMG with a RAREST 1989 Boire Dolphin with Bartolini pickups and a huge custom Thumb with Barts and gold hardware. I have pics of almost all the 50 early Warwicks I've owned... someone said that I'm one of the most knowledgeable peoples about these axes... ;)

Nice pic! So you finally received your new fretless? How does it sound?
10. The fretless sounds and plays awesome! I'm amazed at how it's already started to help my playing, the Warwick is so easy to play you don't really have to even 'make' notes happen - it's such a sensitive beast you can make great sounds just by looking at it! But fretless is obviously a different story, so I've had to start practising all my stuff with a new attitude, getting all the notes to be clearly defined on the fretless has had a knock on effect onto my playing on the Warwick - so hopefully I'll be a badaaaasssss on both soon!
11. Sorry dude but there is NO WAY this Warwick was ever yours - I had it sent to me straight from the bass centre in London 14 years ago andI have the reciept to prove it too! The only time this bass EVER left my side was when it was stolen two years ago and I was extremely fortunate to get it back - it was gone for two days and it turned up at the local pawn brokers, my flatmate (god bless him) had tipped them off and the police were soon on the scene to nick the perps!

I am a huge fan of early Warwicks, and as I've stated here many times, I love them but find the latest models dissapointing, the basses between 88 - 91 (mine's a 91) are the sweetest playing/sounding/looking you will ever see IMO, this one plays like a dream and has done so the entire time I've owned it - I'm a very lucky Munki!

Hei, you're right: my bass had TWO marks near the pickups, yours has only one
Anyway I've owned three or four '86 THumbs and they were even better than '88 and '89: better necks, open-grained wood... great! :bassist:
13. Allow me to say!

Beautiful basses, and very good amp! (I've got the same head and rack at home... :p
Is the sound good with only a 1*15, perhaps too much bass and a lack of medium!
Let me know!!

Does that picture look really sexual to anyone else?
15. Hi Vince,

The sound is very focused actually with just the 1x15 - I really want to add a 2x10 soon but considering I don't own a car - or drive - and don't play in any really load bands - the 15' is doing me just fine. I was surprised by how tight the sound is - plus the amp has a sh*t hot compressor on it - so I can get some very tasty sounds, but eventually I really want a 2x10 as well to get the ultimate sound - EBS rock my world - they make both basses sound extremely sweet, the Warwick just cooks!
