though the colour is more like this pic of it, it is nearly 30 years old so it's allowed a little ageing I guess

Thanks, it is awesome. I had Jack at Phantom make it special. 3 pickups, custom 6-way pickup selector, upside-down headstock logo(I play lefty strung righty so the logo is "right" for me). It sounds like no other bass.

I got a great deal as we're official Phantom endorsers, I probably shouldn't say.

    Ah, I understand. ;)

Great band, though, and some awesome bass playing. And (this may sound slightly weird) you look a lot like I would if I got a haircut and shaved. :smug:

ps: Did you gents play at a church/synagogue in the D/FW area several months ago? If so, then we may have met briefly. I'm the guy that asked about the blue Stu Hamm bass.

We played at a Catholic(?)academy I think it was, in Dallas maybe 6 months ago. That's the only thing I can think of.

I saw Jamiroqui this weekend in Boston. Their bass player, I believe his name is Jason Turner, was using a white SR5. Here's a pic form the MM web site that looks just like it.

Could've been the place, except that I think it was a Hebrew school or some such, if it's the place I'm thinkin of.

If it was, I woulda been the big dude with the huge hair and the leather jacket with all the fringe. There was a sort of Beatles tribute band there, all decked out in the British invasion regalia.

The bassist had a Hofner, and he was a lefty. I asked about the Stu Hamm bass because, at the time, I hadn't seen one before. He said it was alright, but not his style, and it was 'wrong-handed' anyway. :smug:

Might've been you, but seems like it wasn't.
