pick up screw holes

Discussion in 'Pickups & Electronics [BG]' started by Warwickthumb, Dec 22, 2002.

  1. I have a jazz bass copy body that im going to be putting some pickups in. Now there are no holes htere yet, so my question is. IM guessing i drill the holes, but is there anything else i have to do. I ask this becasue the screws are made out of metal and im putting those in wood, and wont the screws wear the wood holes out so they wont stay tight, or strip? Maybe a dumb answer, buit i dont want to mess it up.
