i have a cheap fender p-bass copy that i am defreting and giving a new paint job to. the p-ups in it just don't work any more for some reason and i was wondering what kind would be good to replace with and how hard it is to do. this is the first time i have ever done anything like this so any advice that you have would be very appriciated. this is a very cheap bass so i don' need anything amazing.

    thank you

ebay would be a great place to start lookin for used or new p pups of if ya want new ones maybe mighty mite Ps or a simple fender p pup replacement or a basslines those are the least exspenive ones i can think of. as for being easy unless you have semi god soldering skills it will be a pain a hasel and very hard but you can just go to fender.com n get the wiring diagrams for a p bass n just have someone do it or maybe even have a go your self
