The 1950's: Tough choice, so many classics. No doubt many (most?) might go with the '57 Chevy. My fave has always been the '57 Olds. Preferably with the J2 engine (371 ci with tri-power).

The '60 Pontiacs were pretty sweet too. My next door neighbor bought one new in '60, identical to this convertible. Same color scheme, with rolled and pleated red leather interior, including Pontiac "mag" wheels as shown on this one.

And who knew a "El Poncho" even existed? Rare bird for sure.

There is an " El Poncho" for sale locally. I had never seen one or knew such a thing existed before, now I've seen two this week. These have got to be really rare birds.

Maybe stereotypical, but if I had the cash to buy any old car it'd probably be a 63 vette

I love Alfas. The Spider covers the '60s through the '90s; mine is a '71.

My first car looked just like this one, a '57 Fairlane 500.

292 V8, 4brl carb. Same color too, except I jacked up the suspension a couple inches.

Bought it in '67 for $100.
