Pickguard Change…Help!!!!

    Hello folks…I am thinking of changing my pickguard on my Player Series Sunburst P-Bass from the stock white one, to a nice tortoise one. There is one problem…I have already drilled holes for the thumb test and chrome pickup covers on the old pickguard and the body wood of the bass. How would I line up the holes on the old pickguard with the new tort one so I could like them up again?

    Install new pickguard using a few screws (not all). Put old pickguard on top, and line up the remaining holes putting the screws through both pickguards. Mark the thumbrest and pickguard holes. You could drill right there or with the pickguard removed.
