   I'll probably get a Dlx active P bass, but I don't like the stock gold pickguard. Does anyone know if a pre-made pickguard (e.g., American Deluxe P pickguard) fits it?

   Yes, Pickguard Heaven (Chandler Guitars) makes them w/o a template . . .
   
   Pickguard Heaven > Prices > P-Bass Type - Fender and Squire
   
   Price depends on material selected. Order it with or without truss rod notch. I ordered a black/white/black pickguard for a black Deluxe with a maple neck . . . I didn't like the gold either!
