Noticed a lot of "which pickguard" threads lately, and it got me thinking. How cool would it be to have multiple pickguards held on by magnets that you could swap out depending on your mood (or outfit for the fashionistas)? They'd need to be recessed, but shouldn't be that big of a job. The only catch is I'm not sure if they'd interfere with the electronics. But I know a few builders use magnets for their control cavities/battery compartments, so I'm thinking it shouldn't be a problem.

    Thoughts?

I think it might be a pain with my p-bass...and my T-40...and my Ric...

How do you get around the pots being attached to the pickguard?

I can see how it would work with a Jazz or Stingray. A couple of small rare earth magnets will be all it takes.

Obviously it wouldn't work in those cases....
