Should I go with the standard black pickup covers for my build or go with the cream? I'm leaning toward the later right now. Neck will be rosewood.

Definitely black. Cream will get overwhelmed by that TV Yellow-looking body.

I totally agree. Now let's talk H/W. Of course you're going with black, right?
Also, why not gold PG screws?

I think im going down the pre cbs Fender with a custom color route. I have the hardware and screws reliced and stuff already. Black probably would be cool though.

This is all I have with the neck on it, it's off for painting so I can't attach it for the comparison but you can use your imagination. Snapchat-2034778660.

Black. Checkerboard stripe somewhere, and a NYC taxi mileage rate sticker on the back. It looks like the Checker cab of Precisions. I approve.

    LOL Thanks.

Switches are simple ON/OFF for each p/up, +3 volumes and 1 tone control. Cap on neck p/up to roll off top. Oh, I have a switchable preamp too. LOL

  10. My baby, sporting a BLACK DiMarzio DP122 (or, Model P if you prefer) with Volume, Tone and S/P switching...

Cream for sure. It looks so much cleaner. Not just cleanliness either. Just a smooth pop

    Cream.
It’s a simple choice...either be one of the crowd or dare to be different.

Cream! More pop visually, and to me at least cream connotes old, which matches with the relic.

Black makes the wear look more authentic. Cream looks good, but it's unusual so it looks out of place.

I vote cream, but with matching cream knobs.
