I'm working on my parts bass (warmoth) and I have installed Sadowsky P/J pickups. However, the J pickup is super tall. The foam that Roger privides is probably going to be too tall. I cut it in half, but now I don't get much adjustment. On the P side, the foam is not tall enough as the pickups are much shallower. What do you all use for this? I've thought about using springs, but I'm not sure where I can get them. Has anyone run into this problem before? Has anyone notices that the Sadowsky humcancelling J pickups are monsterouly tall? thanks in advance!

  2. I have been using mouse pads for padding. The foam is more resilient than furniture type foam. Just use as many thicknesses as it takes to get the right height. Regarding the pickup that is taller, once you get the right amount of foam to get your correct adjustment, forget about it. :D
