pickup heights for 60's jazz

    i have a 64 jazz and am wondering the correct height adjustment for both pickups my action is not to high :D

    Initial setup...depress E string at last fret & measure from bottom of that string to the top of the outside magnets of both the neck and bridge pickups. Aim for 4/32 inches. Do the same on the other side with the G string but aim for 3/32 inch height. Have to use your ear for final balance.

    cool thanks for the reply i have installed semour duncan antiquity 1's and am searching for the sweet spot

    the e side should be higher than the g side?

    seems to be ok although i have the bridge pickup a little higher than the neck

    RE higher bridge pickup.

    That's the way it should be for a J Bass. The specs I gave you are Fender setup specs.
