I just acquired a Yamaha TRB5PII used that I love. One problem. When playing the lob B or E strings, there is an internal rattle that is either coming from the bridge pickup or the truss rod, that does come through the amplifier. Any thoughts on which it is more likely to be, and how to repair?

  2. If it is the truss rod, slightly loosening or tightening the rod should make a difference in the reattle. I don't think your pickup is the source. If not the truss rod I would search the bridge or the nut.
