Pickup replacement for carvin icon

    Hey guys,
    As of right now I have the "j" series soapbar style pickups in the bass, but they are a bit lack lustre for me.
    I'm looking for a set of pickups to replace them preferably with a prominent midrange and some low mid bark to go along with.

    Any suggestions/experiences would be greatly appreciated.

    I know a lot of folks here would say Bartolini, but they've always sounded muddy and indistinct to my ear. Check out Duncan or EMG.

    I highly recommend delano. The he/driver set can be pretty aggressive in the mids. I replaced the Pedulla/barts that were in one of my Thunderbolts, and couldn't be happier.

    I've never been a big fan of EMG's. I find their sound to be a bit to scooped and hifi for my taste. I have, however, heard many good things about Delano. I'll have to do a bit more research on them, but thanks for the suggestions!
