Pickup replacement in a Corvette Standard

    Yet another Warwick pickup replacement question. It seems that many here like Basslines but I've heard that they detract from the wood sound. I love the growl and overall tone that the bass has but I don't like the lack of definition on the E, and the lack of a really deep bass sound. Any advice here?

    tewksbury ma usa iam a hick,
    is u bass wicked quite.my fender jazz bass is like 3 x as loud my warwick. i installed a fender 62 pickups in the bridge and it made the bass little louder, iam in the same boat as u love the bass but not the pickups,liek there no bass.
