Pickup Rusting??

  1. is there anything i can use to remove the rust from my pickups..they are basslines and they dont have alot of rust,but i dont want it to continue..what can i do?..i know it is caused from moisture and sweat but what does everyboy else do????help!

    Take some WD-40, spray it on a q-tip (away from the bass!) and then rub the WD-40/Q-tip on the rusted areas, and it should clear up the rust nicely. Worked for me.

    No prob. And the WD-40 should keep the rust from comin' back soon...

    I think Rickbass said before that he takes a bit of clear nail polish and gives exposed magnet poles a light coat.
  6. I heard that people will pay more money for rusted pickups just for that "Vintige look".
