    Im planning to change my stock Bartolini Mk-1 PUPs on my a5 cort bass to Aguilar DCB PUPs. Which size should I get? Should I get the D2 or G4?

    Hello and welcome to TalkBass. When you measured the stock pickups, then compared those measurements to the published measurements of the two Aguilar pickup sizes, what did you find? I would think either one or the other or neither of the Aguilar sizes will match your measurements.

    Seems that Aguilar D series pickups dimensions are comparable to Bartolini P series pickups, whereas their G series pickups dimensions are comparable to EMG's.

    Bartolini MK dimension: 4.24" x 1.33";
    Bartolini P2 dimension: 4.26" x 1.27";
    Aguilar D2 dimension: 4.25" x 1.25".

    Bartolini P4 dimension: 4.63" x 1.27";
    Aguilar D4 dimension: 4.65" x 1.25".

    EMG 35 dimension: 3.50" x 1.50";
    Aguilar G3 dimension: 3.50" x 1.50".

    EMG 40 dimension: 4.00" x 1.50";
    Aguilar G4 dimension: 4.00" x 1.50".

    EMG 45 dimension: 4.50" x 1.50";
    Aguilar G5 dimension: 4.50" x 1.50".

    So, for replacing the MK pickups, get the D2 pickups.
