pickup switches

    I know this is a stupid question but whats better a pickup switch or a blend knob im assuming everyone is going to say blend knob...

    Depends on your needs. Some players only play one pup at a time and a switch would be quick and clean for that. For someone inclined to mix output of the pups, a switch is not going to cut it. Personally, in general I prefer two volumes over a blend. The options can not only vary for player but with the individaul bass for that matter. What works fine for one bass may not for another.

    Switching pickups wouldn't make very much sense. Not only could you not blend pickups at all, but you wouldn't be able to control your volume differences very well.

    It just seems the best option to use a Volume/Blend combo, in my opinion.
