Hi people! I'm looking for a couple of pick ups with a similar sound of an Alembic bass guitar like John Entwistle for example.
Yes, I know that an Alembic sound is priceless but with something closed I will be very happy.

I think that the EMG 40P5 are a good selection.

    What do you think?

The closest I have heard was the old active Duncan Basslines with the DIP switches. They still make them, without the switches, as "Lightnin' Rods."

You can often pick up scratched Alembic pickups pretty cheap from the factory, but you need some kind of preamp.

My first pickups were low impedance alembic copies, which I'm planning on reintroducing at some point.
